Game Development
Welcome to behind the scenes of Anima Mundi.
Here you will find our development process and insight into our design methods.

MAIN GAME STRUCTURE
Kiera and Emilia worked on building a complete visual overview of Anima Mundi, including each puzzle interaction. This was then made into a stop-motion animation to demonstrate every stage of the game.

BEHIND THE ART

Emilia recommends creating silhouettes and sketching concepts before sketching final designs.
An Art Bible was made and shared amongst us to ensure we kept the art style consistent during asset creation.

Here are a range of Charismas beautifully made assets for Anima Mundi!
SHAMAN
Molly and Daniella worked together to design and animate the wonderful Shaman!
BACKGROUND
Kiera created a range of background concepts before decided on the final design.
Here are some examples using these concepts and testing them against our finalised assets.

ANIMATIONS
The team were busy animating assets for the puzzle interactions, spirit guardians and abilities!
Do you recognise any from the game?
USER INTERFACE

Charisma created these lovely User Interface mockups for the Menu, Settings and Pause screens. As a team we decided on our favourite mockup which has been implemented into the full game.
Mockups consisted of a range of typefaces, compositions and colour palettes.

CODING / PROGRAMMING
Unity

Kiera worked extremely hard coding and programming each puzzle interaction to work in Unity. This required a lot of testing and experimentation.
Kiera and Emilia worked together to implement the finalised assets into a final game structure. With this we performed playtesting and made necessary adjustments.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy Anima Mundi.
Wishing you the best.
It's time to make another tea.
